[gdum-l] Amusement parks

Hi Jen,

I would not take the chance on trusting my guide dog with a stranger or
tying her to a pole near the ride. You could call the parks or check their
web sites to see if they have kennels. I have kenneled my guide dog at some
of the Disney parks for part of a day when my daughter and I wanted to go on
rides that my dog was not permitted on. However, I could and have taken her
on many Disney rides. Sometimes my daughter and I could board without the
ride being stopped for us to board. If the parks do not have a kennel, my
suggestion would be for you and your son to go on something while your
husband and other kids stay with your dog and then they would go on
something while you and your youngest son wait for them. That may not be the
most efficient use of time but it ensures your dog's safety and good care.
Please let us know how it goes.

Jan and Carolyn
