Oh! Carl, I am so! upset and sorry. Where was the dog? Why was it not on leash?
I hope you reported it to animal control. Seeing eye is doing a study about the frequency of dogs attacking working guide dogs. I just can't believe how irresponsible some owners are. What a traumatic experience for you and for Kinley. Keep us posted.

Hello All:
I just wanted to update you on something that happened to me and Kinley last night. As I was leaving the Stockyard Restaurant in Boston, Kinley was attacked by a charging pit bull. The Pit Bull was fast and ferocious. And did not want to let go. It was very traumatic. Kinley was on harness and leash the whole time and could do little or nothing to defend himself Finally the roommate of the owner separated them. Kinley has a few abrasions, scratches, and one minor puncture in the leg. It could have been a lot worse.
I am home with him today to make sure he is okay. I have reported the incident to animal control and spoken to the owner about paying for the vet expenses.
Now I understand the need to have the legislation and support to those have had their service animal attacked by another animal not under one's control
Take care,
Carl
