Hi Carl,
As busy as I am tonight after reading your email I had to stop and write to you to let you know that your experience must have been very traumatic for both you and Kinley. We work so hard to keep our dogs under control, after receiving them, follow all of the training and think about them all of the time because of all of the great things they do for us. How selfish, inconsiderate and uncaring for others both people and animals are those who allow their dogs to be free and off leash. I was just at the Stock Yard a few weeks ago, if I go back again I will be sure to listen and pay attention for any dogs that might be in the area.
I am sure that both of you will heal but the trauma of such an experience is what takes the most time to heal.
Take care and give him a nice pet for myself and Azalea.
Marie

Hello All:
I just wanted to update you on something that happened to me and Kinley last night. As I was leaving the Stockyard Restaurant in Boston, Kinley was attacked by a charging pit bull. The Pit Bull was fast and ferocious. And did not want to let go. It was very traumatic. Kinley was on harness and leash the whole time and could do little or nothing to defend himself Finally the roommate of the owner separated them. Kinley has a few abrasions, scratches, and one minor puncture in the leg. It could have been a lot worse.
I am home with him today to make sure he is okay. I have reported the incident to animal control and spoken to the owner about paying for the vet expenses.
Now I understand the need to have the legislation and support to those have had their service animal attacked by another animal not under one's control
Take care,
Carl
