Hi Marlaina and All:
We will talk about registration on our Sunday night call. The food contract
is separate from the meting room contract. We do not have to have it in
place until early in March.
I will try and connect you up with the sound system contractor when I get
back from our trip.
We will be deeling with the constitution drafts next week before midyear.

Berl

Berl,

Does the contract contain food minimums? I really wish the steering
committee could have seen it, but if it is good by you and Carol, it's good
by me. I just want to know about minimums.

I am combining a couple of threads into this response. I'm so glad that
Carol visited the hotel and worked things out. Now we just need a confirmed
program. And I understand that is in the works.

How can we help folks get the constitution going? I was surprised to read
that they had not yet met because they did not yet have a model. I some how
thought that was ongoing. I am no great constitution writer, but if I can
help, I'd be glad to help.

Finally back to the contract. Is there a penalty for postponing the event?
Sorry, but I'm still nervous that we have so much up in the air. I feel
sure the Commission and library should want to participate, and we do have
the presentation from apple which is yet to be defined but I am happy to
help with that if I can.

Anyway, if you could share your thoughts about all this on list, I'd be
grateful. I'd also like to hear from folks in Idaho.

To whom will registrations be going Whom do people call for more info?

Thanks! I left Seattle, but am sleepless in Arlington, Virginia, smile.

Marlaina

Carol and, I think, Darrin, are visiting the hotel today. As soon as I hear
back from them, and get a contract from Kristy reflecting any changes, I
will e-mail it on to Minesota to be signed and faxed back to the hotel. The
only thing in question is about the Friday night reception. If it can't be
made accessible, we won't do it. This contract is for the room needs only.
The food will be decided on, when we get a little closer to the seminar. I
recommend to the planning committee that they should not worry about any
costs to the participants. We will work that out. Registration is only for
the purpose of us knowing who is going to be there. The luncheon will not
cost the attendees, and neither should the break beverages. We need to make
sure that the $100 from Apple gets good publicity. Planning committee, can
you get Val to varify her help and participation in the Saturday Luncheon?
Outreach committee, you should be able to start promoting things any time,
especially, focusing on Saturday's seminar, luncheon and organizing meeting.
The constitution committee has not met, because they have not received
anything from me. Darrin, I will have a draft to you next Monday morning.
You can call a meeting when ever you want too. Jeff, please do join us.
Your wisdom is always appreciated.
