Since I didn't set up the account, I can't speak to that.  My wife is sighted and has limited understanding of what hoops we blind computer users have to jump through; but she has an account and sometimes visits relatives' pages and wasn't too encouraging.

If you wanted to go to www.acb.org and join the ACB general discussion list, you'd get a wider cross-section of blind computer folks who might offer more tips than you'll find here.  But it's a high traffic list, and if you don't want to read--or delete--a lot of messages, I wouldn't recommend joining.  Ray Campbell at the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind runs a help-line, and it's possible he might be another resource.

  John, that's some of what I've heard and I'm quickly losing mine as well unless somebody can tell me something different.  I guess my next question to that is how easy is it to manage it once it's been created.

    I'm personally acquainted with only a very few blind computer users who use FaceBook.  They all--and keep in mind it's a very small number--needed sighted assistance to complete setup of their accounts.  When I found that out, I quickly lost my appetite for the brave new world of social networking.  I have no experience with MySpace, so have no idea if it would be easier to use.

    If other users know tricks that would make navigating such sites easier, I'd welcome seeing them posted here.

      Good Afternoon everyone, I was just wondering, since you hear so many things about people Face Booking and My Space accounts and I  know there are blind people creating accounts on a daily basis, but is there a simple way of creating an account?

      I'm not completely sure on creating one of these accounts, so what should I be looking for.  I understand it's not the easiest to create one.
