Subject: Training opportunity on Deaf/Blind


Hello:  Please reserve the dates May 11 through May 13, 2010.  These are the dates for the sixth annual joint training on deaf/blindness.  The training will be in the Turkey Run Inn at the Turkey Run State Park.  This year the training consists of 3 consecutive days of training; there will not be quarterly meetings for the VR counselors. The agenda has not been finalized and is subject to change.  Topics will include, but not limited to: a deaf/blind hands-on experience, Deaf Culture, eye disease and treatment, ear disease and treatment, ASL, deaf/blind issues, update on cochlear implants, AA/NA program and vendor exhibits.

 

If you are interested please email Donald.Tinsley at fssa.in.gov to reserve your spot.  The deadline to RSVP is March 31, 2010.  Unfortunately, due to limited space if you don't RSVP you can not attend. There is no fee for attending the training.  However, you will be responsible for your own room, meals and transportation.
