Subject: [announce] Get Registered for the 2012 Legislative Seminar

Good afternoon everyone!

We are a little more than a month away from the 2012 Legislative Seminar. As we continue to pull together what will hopefully be an interesting and fun agenda, here are the topics to be covered that can be revealed thus far.

Please know that in the coming weeks a detailed agenda along with imperative papers will be disseminated.

Legislative Imperatives

1. The need for consistent and independently identifiable accessible prescription drug labels.

 2. H.R. 860, legislation that will promote charitable donation of qualified vehicles to organizations like ACB and its state affiliates.

Other Topics

We will have speakers from the U.S. DOT to discuss rule makings concerning airline website and kiosk accessibility.

An update from the FCC on the implementation of the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act.

A general read out of the findings from the ACB/Google survey.

A presentation by TSA and much more.

Please register immediately!

Hotel rooms for Midyear must be reserved by January 31st. People also need to register, so that we will know which meetings they are attending and can provide materials in their format of choice, as well as the meals they will want to eat. Participants can register using the form on the ACB web site. We need those registrations by Monday, February 20! Registration after that point may mean that you won't get lunch or materials in your preferred format.

Please go to:

https://register.acb.org/

To register and reserve your hotel room.

I am looking forward to seeing you all again and can't wait to have Congress hear our collective voice!

Eric
