This sounds like a good idea to me. The less scheduling conflict, the better.

Subject: [ivie] respond to question about IVIE expo

  Hi all,
As most of you know, we've had an IVIE expo for a number of years. For those that haven't participated, we allow IVIE members to have a booth and sell products or services to any ACB-ers that wish to come. IVIE members pay $10 and those wishing to learn about us get to come for free. some have been very good but the last couple of years, we've had less response from attendees. In an effort to make this worthwhile for participants, I'd like your response. The last couple of years, the ACB legislative summer seminar has been on Tuesday afternoon from 5:30-7 pm. Also, several affiliates have meetings which last until 4:30 pm. There are also tech meetings, a wine and cheese, the International speakers mixer, and other events scheduled during much of our event. While discussing another scheduling issue, Carla ruschival asked if IVIE would consider holding its expo on Thursday afternoon from 12:30-2:30 pm instead. It would be an hour less but this time slot has very few events opposite it and would likely catch folks during lunch break. What do you think? Also, do you have any suggestions for getting more publicity for our event(s)? Thanks for your response.
