Perhaps you can help with this request:
Hi CC Mentors,
I am trying to get some information for a doctor who works with visually impaired
physical therapy students and because a court date is involved I'm running up against
a strict deadline. Would any of you happen to know Daniel Longyne, a PT in the Chicago
area? He is a mentor but his work number and email are outdated so I have not been
able to reach him.
Also, can you please help by
a) telling me about any other visually impaired physical therapist you know?
b) forwarding these 4 questions to BVI physical therists and ask them to respond
to me as soon as possible:
1. How is the work profile of a physical therapist with vision loss different from
the work of their sighted colleagues? Or, is it?
2. Do they have the same job tasks as the sighted physical therapists?
3. What accommodations / work place adjustments are made to help the blind physical
therapists effectively work?
4. Do you know of any articles or documentation of blind Physical Therapists who
are currently working in the profession and the methods that they use for diagnosis
and treatment?
