Hi everyone, 

I am glad Mountain State list is up and running again.  Thanks, Jessie for all your work as moderator and to everyone who contributes.  This is a great group.    

I'm Debbie Cain, MSCB past secretary and president of MSCB Vandalia Chapter (North Central West Virginia Area).  Until people get used to my new married name, if you see references to Debbie Brooks, that's me.   My husband is Dave and I have three beautiful children (James, Stephan, and Vanessa) from my previous marriage to Jim Brooks.  Molly is my dog guide (a young, sweet, rambuncious yellow lab) and I have a loving and ever loyal retired black lab at home named Shaylee.  I work for the Center for Excellence in Disabilities at WVU as an administrative secretary for the Preservice Education and Fine Arts programs.  I'm off to Charleston tomorrow for a big art show opening exhibit.  

Speaking of public transportation, I'll be riding with coworkers to Charleston tomorrow.  The only public transportation option would be a taxi.  Imagine that bill!  The lack of public transportation has presented quite a challenge for the artists in our program who don't drive.  

A low number of public transportation users attended the caucus on Friday and one panelist had to cancel because he did not have transportation to the meeting. I hope it drove home the point that significant change and improvement are needed.  We can make it happen if we work together.
