Office of the Republican WhipIt has been confirmed that H.R.3101, Twenty-First Century communications and Video Accessibility Act will be taken up on the floor of the House on Monday afternoon. The vote on this legislation comes on the very anniversary of the signing of the ADA twenty years ago.
3101 will be brought to the floor under suspension which means that this bill is not considered to be controversial. As all of you are aware, over the past three years, this bill has been viewed as nothing if not controversial by powerful industry lobbies and by several members of Congress. What a great achievement this is.

The bill will be brought to the floor after 2:00 Eastern. You can watch the proceedings on C-SPAN or on the internet at

cspan.org

Please see the note below that announces the list of bills to come to the House floor on Monday.

There will be much more to do to insure that the House bill is taken up and passed by the Senate. We will deal with this reality next week.

Congratulations everyone!

Eric
