Hello All,

As this year's Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is drawing near, I
am writing
to invite you to join this year's Speakers Bureau for increasing
our
exposure at CFC events.

Why participate in these events? Because it makes a very positive
difference
in the amount of pledges directed towards ACB. Last year, there
was an
overall decrease in donations made to nonprofits through the CFC.
However,
the events that had representatives from ACB either held the line
on pledges
to us, or saw significant increases in pledges. For example, the
Dillons in
Tennessee attended two events and, as a result, pledges for ACB
increased by
800% in that area! Is ACB's participation in the events
important? You bet
it is!

If you want to be a part of ACB's CFC Speakers Bureau for this
year, please
send me the information requested below. Then what's next?

1. I'll put you on the list of possible speakers.

2. If an event comes up in your area, I'll contact you to
see if you're
available. If so, I'll RSVP the event coordinator, informing
her/him of our
interest and availability.

3. If we get a confirmation (rejections are not
communicated) to attend
the event, I'll contact you and send you a packet of brochures
and any
premiums we may have. Be patient; usually, confirmation is
received within
two weeks but we have had events that notify us only two or three
days
before an event date.

4. Then the process starts again.

Please forward this message back to me, with the following
information
included.

Your Name:

Your Mailing Address:

The best phone number(s) to reach you:

The general geographic area in which you could speak:

Your willingness to make a presentation to a group or just work
an
information table:

Please note: Signing up to be a speaker does not guarantee that
you will
attend an event. It all depends on the CFC events in your area
and whether
ACB receives an invitation to attend them. However, once you are
confirmed
as a speaker, I will let the event coordinators in that area know
that we
have a potential speaker for them.

Thanks in advance for signing up and helping with making
presentations. They
are a way to raise needed funds to keep ACB going, but they are
also an
excellent way to inform your area about your Affiliate and
Chapters, and
making the public more aware of our common mission and goals. If
we all work
together, we can make ACB shine and advance the quality of life
for all
blind folks.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please call me if you have
questions.

Regards,

And P.S. Please share this with your Chapters to allow us to
increase our
area of exposure.
