May 9: Classes begin for Hospitality and Contact Centers
State Agencies and others need to Refer Students Now!
Seats are beginning to fill for the 10-week Statler Center Hospitality class, and the 7-week Customer Service and Contact Center class beginning May 9, 2012. The Hospitality class offers extensive training in all aspects of the hotel, travel and tourism industries, and includes technology training and three weeks of on-the-job training at esteemed local hotels, convention centers and businesses. The Contact Center class covers all facets needed to deliver superior customer service, as well as technology skills, and hands-on experience working on live commercial accounts in the Olmsted Contact Center.

Placement Services Reach 82% Success
With a dedicated staff of Job Placement experts, Statler has achieved an enviable 82% placement rate for Graduates. Hospitality positions range from hotel front desk, switchboard, security, guest services and many more in the hospitality, travel and tourism industry. Contact Center jobs include customer service representatives, transportation dispatch, call centers plus others. In addition, the skills Statler teaches are transferrable to many other industries.
Regarding a 2010 Graduate, Physically Disabled
Ken not only earned the skills to find competitive employment, he also gained self confidence. He has joined a stroke victim support group and plans to become a presenter at the National Stroke Association. He speaks about life and work with a disability and how coming to the Statler program turned everything around for him.

Job Club and Training Workshops
Statler hosts frequent Job Club sessions, where attendees learn about job search skills and job opportunities, while hearing from business leaders and graduates speaking about the job search process.
