I am in high school calculus. Math only gets more difficult from here, so I was sort of looking for some way to either learn LaTex or a simpler similar program.

  Thanks

    Hi,

Personally, I use symbols that appear closest to how print math appears. For instance, the statement:

    Derivative of x cubed

Could be written as (in my notation):

    Dy/dx x^3 (which is 3x squared)

    Or

    dy x^3

Or similar. The problem becomes when doing complex algebraic expressions such as parametric equations, roots or advanced math concepts.

Let us know which math courses you are taking so that those of us who are taking that particular course (or a similar one) can help you (I'm in calculus/differential equations).

    Cheers,

    Joseph

I am trying to figure out a way to do my math homework on my computer so that I can submit the assignments in an easy to read typed format. Do you have any ideas for an easy to learn accessible way to create and solve math problems on the computer?

Also, are there any classes or resources to learn LaTex?

    Thank you for your help,

    Mark Cadigan
