Hey Guys,
So I have my Spanish final on Saturday morning (hahaha I know, finals on a
Saturday isn't fun lol), but I'm trying to figure out how to take it
accessibly. I guess explaining what happened for the midterm would help.
When I took the midterm, it turned in to a huge disaster. I tried to put the
test on a flash drive on to my apex, but it didn't work. So I tried to take
it on my laptop. which didn't work too well. I'm not too good at
understanding jaws and Spanish, and the test turned out to not be formatted
to well for me to understand. I mean I'm getting somewhat used to jaws and
Spanish, but I figured the midterm wasn't the best time to experiment (I
like the English sounding Spanish with jaws better haha). So I ended up
taking it the next day with the testing lady from Disabilities reading it to
me. Later, I looked at why it wouldn't work on my apex with the technology
guy from the state, and it worked (of course).
So I talked to my professor about how to format the final, and she sent it
early to disabilities so I could see if my apex would read it. Well it
didn't. It seemed fine, it was loading, I hit enter, and the message that
popped up was "class does not exist". Does anyone know what that means?
Hahaha. It was a word 03 file, so I have no idea why it didn't work. I'm
planning on trying it again tomorrow, and calling humanware as well. If
everything else fails, I'll probably see if I can email it to my old school
to emboss for me (our disabilities office doesn't have an embosser
unfortunately) and pick up a copy in Braille.
But if anyone has any other suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
Rose
