[nabs] difference between Jaws 12 and Windows Eyes 7

BlankWell, Joe, one good thing about installing Windows on a Mac is that you have both operating systems in one box.

As for Jaws versus Window-Eyes, here's how I would approach it.

1. Which is the most affordable, switching to another screen reader or taking advantage of the SMA, [Software Maintenance Agreement], you have?
2. As stated in another message, if you switch screen readers and switch operating systems at the same time, what will the learning curve be?

Window Eyes and JAWS are both for the PC, though I guess if you're running Windows virtually on a Mac, then you could use the products that way. Personally, I wouldn't see the point in buying a Mac only to use Windows on it. It's like buying a cool shirt and wearing a sweater over it all the time.

    Hi,
I thought WE was Mac-specific and JFW was Windows-based. I could be wrong, so feel free to correct my understanding.
    Many thanks,
    Christine

I am thinking of pu8rchasing a new laptop, which runs Windows 7. I am currently running Jaws 8 9on my Windows Xp system. So I can upgrade my Jaws for a great sum of $598 or purchase Windows Eyes 7 for a payment of 39 0per month! so, what is the big difference between Jaws and Windows Eyes?
      Thanks.
I have been a Jaws user for about ten years, so would the Wineyes be hard for me to learn?
       Happy Christmas

      Rhonda
