Hi Netta,
Thanks for the info. I wish my college had a contemporary or practical math course. They don't even have Algebra! Arg!
I like the calculator idea... *Smile* My Pac Mate has a pretty cool calculator built-in, and I've been using that as I prep to possibly take the ACT.
Thanks again, and have a great day!

In Christ, Miranda

Hello Miranda:
I am currently in college now and to satisfy my math requirements for my
degree I decided to take a nontraditional math course-comtemporary math
with didn't have alot of algebra, trig, graphing and such. With my other
classes the college contacted the publishers and got alternative formats of
the textbooks in either PDF, MS word and my favorite online/web based books.
For my computer class I applied for a reader and scribe because of the
issues with JAWS and Office 07 at the time. I used RFBD for my math
textbooks which was great, a pDF format of the textbook for explaination of
some elements, VP Algebra to do my assignments (honestly, I had difficulties
with the software bc of the learning curve), Audio Graphing Calulator (also
with some difficulties bc learning curve) and a handheld talking
calculator-which was the best investment because it had all of the
conversions already handy and I didn't have to use alot of formulas...just
input #s and pushing buttons *smile*
If I can help you any way please feel free to let me know below is my email
