Miranda,
I would certainly check out our NABS resources page at our
website acbstudents.org as well as the ACB.org website.
Disability etiquette may be something to consider including as
Christopher suggested.
Also this website from the American Foundation for the Blind for
etiquette tips:
http://www.afb.org/section.asp?SectionID=36&TopicID=163
Basic beginning information for professors and faculty about how
screen reading, magnification, scanning, and other adaptive
software and hardware works may be helpful. For your disability
person, it may be useful to direct them to an email list
specifically for disability service coordinators such as the one
through the Michigan state chapter of the Association on Higher
Education And Disability (AHEAD):
http://www.mi-ahead.org/listserv.php
and:
Disabled Student Services in Higher Education
http://listserv.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=DSSHE-L
Also, AHEAD's website contains a page of resources on a wide
range and scope on many aspects of disability:

HTH,
Laura

Subject: [nabs] Resources for my college faculty?
Hi,
I'm thinking of preparing a document of resources for my college
faculty (professors, music department staff, assistant Dean who
deals with disability services, IT department, ETC.) These can be
general resources for all or specific resources for certain
departments or faculty.
Can anyone provide suggestions on what I can include in this
document?
As the first totally Blind student in my college, I want to help
them as much as possible as they are so willing to accomidate my
needs.
Thanks in advance, and have a great day!
In Christ, Miranda
