Rhonda, do you have to take an online class, or is there a classroom option?

  Problem is....I am taking online classes......great because there is no travel....but as I found in an undergrad math class  sometimes things aren't accessible. My math class used Mymathlab which used flash a lot..Jaws does not read that well at all!!
  then there were videos where an instructor would say "Then I take this and put it here....take this away....change this to this and get  such and such for an answer."
  The tutor thing would probably be the best idea.....math is so visual and being totally blind graphs are a problem and the scientific calculator is kind of hard to use as well. This too shall pass, and I am sure I can at least pass stats class.....at least I hope so!!!!

    Math was always my weakest area so I started working with a tutor prior to the class and also contacted the professor ahead of time.  Although I do have some vision, I was not able to use the scientific calculator effectively but was able to work with the professor (and the DSS office) to get around that.  Being proactive seemed to be a great way of establishing a connection and getting assistance I needed.  Good luck!
