I'd complain to the ds office and ask them to help you advocate. 
There's no reason they can't take a minute to quickly email those 
to you before class.

You're lucky the professors send it ahead of time.  I requested 
handouts,
powerpoints and class matterials in advance so I can see it ahead 
of time
since I don't see it in class.  But most professors don't send 
before they
send after.  I read their powerpoint in outline form or with the 
slide show
feature of Powwerpoint.
