Hi Christine,

Sorry for giving only the link without more info about the site. I assumed that you had a basic idea, since someone mentioned about reading books from BARD, Audible and BookShare in previous messages in this thread. In any case, the link I provided is a website that you can download digital audio books for a fee and they have monthly and annual plans too. They have over 75,000 books to choose from many different topics like business, classics, fictions, history, mysteries, thrillers, romance, science and technology, Sci-Fi and fantasy, self-development, and more, as well as magazines, newspapers, podcasts and more. You can listen to the books on your Victor Reader Stream, MP3 player, iPod, iPhone, on your computer, and more. Their phone number is 1-888-283-5051 Monday through Saturday. HTH.

All the best.

      Hi everyone,

Can someone tell me what Audible is? Is it free and can someone send me a link to check out?

      Thanks,

      Yvonne

      Hello all!

I am also looking into purchasing the soft pack. I enjoy reading books and while I am a member of BARD, Audible, and Bookshare I also see that there are other formats out there that I cannot access like ebooks (Adobe, MS reader, Mobokit, and a few others) Do any of you know whether or not the stream will support reading content from any of the above mentioned ebook publishers?

I'm also contemplating the purchase of the software. So far I am not convinced that the added features are ones I would use on the Victor. The only thing appealing is the enhanced Audible listening, but since I'm not subscribed to Audible, this seems like a weak reason to put down fifty dollars. Clearly Humanware is attempting to make money on features it could have easily made a part of one of their software updates. I might be persuaded if they upgraded their TTS options.

          Hello Everyone,

Have any of you purchased the SoftPak for the VictorStream? If you have, could you let me know what you think of it? I'm considering getting it because of the features it offers, but I'd like to hear from some people who have used it and know if there are any issues I need to consider.

          Thanks,
