work degree.  In fact, it may be more useful to get a bachelor's 
in law enforcement with a minor in either sociology or 
psychology.

Hello Caitlin.
Yes, please do, this would help, I know each state has certain 
regulations,
but the agent I spoke with, was very encouraging, and she didn't 
think a
license was necessary.
