I'm not sure what you mean by 30 dollar upgrade.

I can however answer the question about the sd card though.  You 
can use any sd card or micro sd card (not mini) in the Stream. 
You can buy them anywhere; I've found good deals on amazon and 
buy.com.  I have used up to a 16 gb in mine and imagine you can 
use any size.  Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

If I can what do I need to look for? Is the $30 upgrade worth it
