[nabs] totally blind individuals and medical billing/coding?

Hello list:

I'm considering studying for a new career.  I was initially
considering medical transcription, but a friend of mine who's somewhat
of an insider said that medical billing/coding professionals are, at
the moment, in higher demand.

I've done some research into this, and it seems there are a lot of
coding books that a coder has to refer to on a regular basis.  Anybody
know if these are available in an accessible format?  A better
question might be does anybody know of any blind people who've had
careers in medical billing/coding?
