You can group messages on the Web interface automatically, too.  
In fact, Gmail does this automatically now.

In outlook, I can group messages by conversation, thus deleting 
many
messages at a time.
On the web interface, I have to select check boxes and then find 
the delete
button to delete.  In outlook, I just hit the delete key
In outlook, I can write a message without dealing with extraneous 
data.  I
can fill in a form, hit tab, and use keyboard shortcuts to add 
attachments.
I don't have to find form controls.
