Hi Chase, and welcome to the list!
I've copied and pasted the information below on how to enter Spanish
codes in to microsoft word. This is an alternate way that doesn't
involve using the "crazy alt codes." Those are certainly a pain. The
method below is how I did Spanish throughout college. Please note that
these are specific to microsoft word for windows. Let me know if you'd
like help researching alternative methods for other software as I'd be
happy to help.
Microsoft Word for Windows
The default keystrokes for accented characters are as follows:
Symbols joined by a + need to be held down at the same time;
Symbols separated by a coma need to be hit in sequence, one after the other.
