[nabs] question about accommodations

BlankI am taking totally online classes.  I am not sure how Uk will work, but Liberty University where I took undergrad classes had an online writing center.  I had awful issues with APA style, and often my grades were low in the c range due solely to formatting errors.  I wanted to see if it were possible to have someone edit my papers for me, not write them, but use my words and then help me to format them in the proper way.  I am not very good at Word as far as the formatting goes.  I do well with the margins, and the line spacing....it is just centering, the hanging indent and the like that cuase me issues.Thanks for your thoughts.

  What I typically do is take my completed paper to the writing lab or writing center and ask them to look it over. This is a service that most college's offer to their students as a whole. Each service is different and some college writing centers are better than others, but they can look over your paper and ensure it is visually appealing, citations are correctly written to avoid plagerism, and even the grammar and punctuation is done correctly. In the real world writing is done in groups rather than by lonewolf writers. Even the best writers will take it to another party to look it over, so college and universities typically honor the fact that students may need help with things like this. You can always go to your schools writing lab and see if this is a service your school can provide for you through the writing lab. The writing lab at my college will actually allow you to bring your written work into the writing lab and have someone trained in APA or MLA set it up for you, while teaching you how to do it yourself. I personally struggle through it to do it myself, then take it to the writing lab to ensure it is done correctly. Because this is a service that is provided to all the students as a whole, I personally don't believe my DSS office is responsible for it. I hope this helps.
