[nabs] The Student Advocate-January 1, 2011

Hi All,
Just a few words from me as I've been a bit quiet on the whole
issue (just got home after a lovely weekend away).

First off, I apologize for the encoding issue. Those crazy a
circumflex symbols didn't appear at all when I read the document, but
I'm using voice over not JAWS, so maybe that's the difference. (Rest
assured, JAWS users, I didn't place them there just to torment you
when final edits came around, smile.) I'm sorry that the reading with
JAWS was difficult going at times. As the document was created using
Pages, the Mac word processor, and then changed to a PC form, maybe
that is where the issue lies? Maybe when Chris, our wonderful web
master, puts this up on the site he can do a find and replace and take
all of those pesky symbols out for us, so the copy online can be a bit
easier for all those who struggled to read it. Alternatively, if
anyone is interested, I have a symbol-free copy saved on my computer
that I can embed into an email and send off to them. Sorry again about
the symbols; I do hope all of you that skimmed or skipped get a chance
to read the issue in it's full glory, as there is much to learn and be
entertained by within it's virtual pages.

It was a delight to work with contributors Kerri, Ardis, Dornetta,
Rose, Bernadetta, and Chris. It was wonderful to work with all of you
and thank you for contributing. Also, Sara and Laura in particular
should be acknowledged for their guidance and assistance. Leena and I
look forward to constructing another Student Advocate very, very soon.
It's never too late to send an article idea or article our way
editor.acbstudents at gmail.com

Thanks again, and happy reading!,

Caitlin Lynch
Student Advocate Co-editor
