[nabs] accessible magazines

Ashley,

There's a Spanish language version of Reader's Digest on Bard and a German
version also I think, but you are correct that there is not an English
version. A few of the other magazines you mentioned in your initial post are
on Bard though. Also, this URL

http://www.magportal.com/help/user/which_mags.html

has a list of magazines that post at least some of their content online for
free. The page does not link directly to any of these magazines, and you may
need to do a bit more searching to actually find the issues/articles, but at
least it's a starting point.

No its not on bard because APH produces it, not NLS.

You can get it from BARD I think, I used to get it on cassette, and it was
1, 4 sided tape. It has lots of differant topics, pretty much something for
everyone.

So how much is reader's digest and how many cassettes is it? I have no idea
how big reader's digest is.
I think it has articles from multiple articles on a wide variety of current
topics.
What did you like about the magazine?

Ashely, aph does have readers digest; it is good. I haven't gotten in
a while because of time constraints on reading but I use to enjoy it.
For the other magazines you just have to contact your library and
request them. I believe they should also have newsweek. Generally the
articles are indexed and one reader does the entire magazine. Also the
bard download service does have magazines too. Hope this helps, Ben.
