[nabs] trying to do research....what a pain!!!

BlankI am a new student at the  University of Kentucky.  I am taking Masters classes in rehabilitation counseling.  I have been for the last hour and a half trying to navigate the complicated library page.  I am writing a paper about blindness, diagnosis, psycho-social adjustment, society veiws, rehabilitation implications.....but for the life of me I can't seem to find general data bases like Ebsco or Academic Search Premier....they have to be somewhere!!! I've written an email asking for help from the refference desk...and for now I am just tired and anoyed!!!! anyone else have research issues?
Got any ideas, tips for restoring my sanity?
