[nabs] Current ADA info?

Linda, and anyone else interested:

I found a few links that discuss web accessibility standards from Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the W3C’s WCAG 2.0 (World Wide Web Consortium/Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), and ADA. I’ve been wading through this stuff for a couple hours, and haven’t found any straight answers though. So I think your best course of action is to get in touch with your local ADA centers. There are ten to choose from, but whichever one you call will probably be able to redirect you to the right center for your area. Anything you find out would be useful info to have. Feel free to share, as I’m sure many of us would greatly appreciate it.

Dear Linda,

I think there are about 4 or 5 of these ADA Centers across the U.S. They get some federal funding, and their services are free. Since they have an 800 number, just call them and ask them your questions. They may transfer you to the nearest center, but one of them will answer your questions. Please let us know what they said.

Subject: [nabs] Current ADA info?

Hello Guys!

I want to say that the ADA laws have been updates (in regard to accessible internet/web technologies) since 2010 - is that correct?

Can someone please direct me to current info for Persons with disabilities (PWD) and ADA; especially in relation to private/public (colleges/universities) access.

Thanks,
Linda
