Hey Sara,
   I'm glad this is getting started, and I think it'll be a great
thing for us. I'd never listened to the Student Connection. I know
that when Chase would advertise it to the list I always wanted to
check it out to see how it was coming along and what it was like.
However, I'm pretty sure that it didn't ever work with my class
schedule. In terms of schedules, I think that either doing it once a
week or once every two weeks would be best. The only thing that makes
me say once a week is that we'd want to have continuity so that we
could get a solid listinership. I feel like, starting out, if we had
it once every two weeks that people would forget about it. Unless
that's just me. If something isn't in my very tight weekly schedule I
kind of forget about it entirely, which is awful, I know.

Here are some topics that may be worth covering:

- What do you look for in a college? Do you really care about
disability services?
- Socialization in school. Examples: finding members in a group to
work with, finding people in the cafeteria to eat with, going to
parties, explaining and making blindness seem less scary, etc.
- What rights do you absolutely need as a student? What things are
just easier to ignore, understanding that the world is imperfect.
- What do you do after graduation?
- Tech reviews on the newest amazing blind products that do your
homework, locate you a taxi cab, and make you a sandwich. Or so it
seems.
- The age old debate of cane vs. guide dog.
- Employment tips.
- I think it would be cool if you had an "Ask Dear Sara" section,
where people sent in letters with questions for you. You could use
your extreme wisdom and draw on us to help answer them.

Just some ideas. If I didn't have to go facilitate group therapy, I'm
sure I could come up with more. I think this is great, Sara, and I'm
happy to help with this as I can.
