BlankWell, I am a Dell lap top user and love it alot. It is a full size with num pad and a 17.5 in screen which means that it is somewhat heavy. I also just bought a Toshiba and like it as well-almost *smile*. Honestly, I am one of those blind people that takes a bit of warming up in order to "like" change. I am still trying to figure out where thing are on the new lap top so I don't use it as often. The toshiba also has a num pad and I like it because it loads fast...but then again, I don't have too many programs running on it either.
Sorry, I probably wasn't much help

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."-Mariann Williamson

Toshiba Satellites are also good. If you're looking for something smaller, go with the model that doesn't have the number pad. They're smaller and a bit lighter than the ones with the number pad. Stay away from Dell and HP. Of course, that's just my opinion. Somebody else might have good things to say about Dell or HP.

  Ronda:
If you are looking for something light weight, Lenovo has a thinkpad x220 you could check out. I know someone that has it and they love it. Toshiba Tekra's re also good, though if you go with Toshiba be sure to get the express warranty, otherwise your system goes off to the depot to get repaired where I think they throw it a few times after they "fix it." or something. I had to send my laptop in 5 times in a row to fix stuff they kept breaking after the first time.
