exactly; not everyone does facebook; it’s a young generation thing and some of us don’t want to be reminded of the lack of accessibility of it when there are blogs and other online forums and chat rooms that are more accessible. And of course email is more accessible and IMO convenient; that is why I love list serves. So I suggest that any announcements you all put on fb also be posted here on list and/or on your nabs website.

Thank you Sarah. It seemed to me you were dismissing it because your breif response only said that you thought the facebook and twitter feeds would suffice, and nothing more, but I am very gladd to know that you are not.
Anne, you have a good point though, there are still many out there who do not use facebook and/or twitter, and, with the great lack of accessibility of facebook, it might not be the best to rely on them.
I will try to check out the FB page and the website more often though from now on, it is just hard to always remember to do that (though I guess I could set up RSS feeds or something… maybe I'll look into that)
That's the reason I really liked when the fundraising committee set up a google group separate from the NABS list, because then, whenever I got something through the google group, I made sure to read it.
Off to write a paper!
regards,
Gretchen
