Hellen,
This is Jay Doudna, I work in our recording studio at the Library for the
Blind in Oklahoma City.
Over the next year we will be sending out a new player that will eventually
replace the cassette player you now have. This will take more than a year
to accomplish and so it is not unusual for you to not have one. Also, we
are encouraging everyone to keep their cassette players, since many of the
titles have not been made available to us yet.
It sounds like you are not familiar with the player. I encourage you to
begin to read Bright Future, the Libraries quarterly newspaper. This
publication can keep you up to date with all the news at the Library. The
player has been discussed in some detail in the last few issues. The
newsletter is available in all media formats.
If you have questions, I suggest that you call the Library and speak with
one of our reader advisors.
They can also assure that you receive the newsletter in the media format of
your choice.
You can read the current issue at our website: www.library.state.ok.us
I am also pleased to tell you that you can listen to it on our website,
there is a listen link.
Hope this helps to answer your question.
Jay Doudna
