FREE!!  Braille Class

The Central Oklahoma Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of
Oklahoma invites you to participate in a FREE Braille class.

 

The importance of Braille is paramount to the success of Blind children and
adults. Education and employment are impacted by the ability to read.
Approximately less than 10% of the blind can read and write Braille. Scary,
right? Approximately 70% of working age Blind adults are unemployed and
approximately 50% of blind children do not graduate from high school.

 

If you are blind or are experiencing Vision Loss, or are the parent or
teacher of a blind child, join us to learn Grade 1 Braille. There are
approximately 18 slots in our free class.

 

Books are provided through an Imagination Fund grant from the national
Federation of the Blind. Teachers are volunteering their time. Classes will
be on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.

 

Join us Saturday March 27th at 1:00 at the OU Medical Center Edmond.
