Vendor and Stakeholder:
A forum to gather vendor and other stakeholder input into the rate to be
paid by Safety Road Rest Area (SRRA) vendors for electrical utilities is
scheduled for January 30, 2012.  You are receiving this invitation to attend
the forum, as a vendor who operates one of the SRRA facilities, or an
individual who may have interest in the topic.  Additionally, we encourage
you to share this invitation with other interested persons.
The Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and the Department of
Rehabilitation (DOR) are in the process of renewing the interagency
agreement for the DOR collection and transmittal to Caltrans of utility
costs from the Business Enterprises Program (BEP) vendors who operate SRRA
facilities.  Essential to the renewal of the interagency agreement is the
rate to be paid by each vendor for the electrical utilities.
The forum provides you with the opportunity to comment on the various
proposals to set the electrical utility rate; and to offer alternate
proposals that may be feasible within the existing statutes, resources and
infrastructure.  To assist in planning for your participation attached are
documents providing the background, and the questions to facilitate the
input.  Once the concepts for rate setting are completed, they will also be
shared.
