[Sasi] TTYs and phone menus

Hi Karyn,
The only way I've found to use phone menus with a TTY is very cumbersome. I
call through relay and the Communications Assistant types out the first set
of options. I make a note to myself of the option I want, because by the
time the Communications Assistant has finished typing out the options, the
call has disconnected. So I tell the CA the option I want for the first
menu, and we call back, choose it, and then the CA types out the options for
the second set of choices. This process of typing out the options, making a
note, and calling back goes on until I get to the person I need. It takes
forever! I often ask the CA to try pressing 0 when I first call, because
that will sometimes route me to a real person more quickly.
For numbers I need to call more than once, I keep my notes about the menu
options so that the process is quicker next time.
I know it's a frustrating process, but I hope this explanation answers your
question.
Jeremy
