Hi to all! I have had my hearing aids for 2 and a half years now and I
almost forgot how I had to relearn sounds. Especially since I made the leap
from analog to digital *grin*
Things change so fast though and my hearing aids are already outdated.
This list is great!

Hi Theresa,
I don't know the answer to whether a cochlear implant would give you a
different sense of being overwhelmed (or not) by a sense of loudness. I'll
be curious what your audiologist says.
My personal experience is that I am much more easily overwhelmed and
exhausted by noise than I was when I had normal hearing. It's hard to
explain that to people who haven't experienced it.
Thanks for the reminder about how it takes time to adjust to new hearing
aids. I just got new ones today, and they sound very different from my old
ones. I could hear traffic much better immediately, but other sounds will
take some patience to relearn.
Jeremy
