Jeff Lewin here.
I also have 3 guide dogs from seeing eye
i received my current one "docker"
in 2007 before i lost all hearing in one ear
and got a cochlear implant in 2009.
I agree with your praise of the Seeing eye.

  Hi Rita,

  First, I was born in Indianapolis.  My parents moved to California when I was 4 years old.

  Xena is my third guide dog, all have been from The Seeing Eye in New Jersey.  My dogs have been wonderful.  I really like The Seeing Eye facility and the way that they treat all of their clients with the utmost respect.  Can't say enough about them.

  My name is Rita Kersh from Bedford, Indiana.  Where did you get your dog guide from?  I have my application in to Leader Dog, but have to get some things finished before a date can be set to go.  I've never had a dog guide before, so I'm a little anxious.

    Hi to all:

    My name is Cheryl and I have just joined this list.  I am looking forward to corresponding with you all.  

    I am blind, but have a little bit of vision in one eye.  I have difficulty hearing unless someone speaks very clearly and a little louder than is normal.  Also, I have degenerative disk disease which affects my physical abilities.  I am retired and have been living in central Mexico for almost 5 years.  I have a guide dog named Xena whom I have had for almost a year.  Knitting, reading, and cooking are my passtimes..  Oh yes, I also spend a lot of my time using my computer.
