Paratransit can be a bother to use. But, being an educated and
informed consumer make you a better user. Often pemple want to allow
the same amound of time for paratransit as a car trip would take.
However, if you need to get to an appointment yuo do not tell them
what time you want to leave--but, you tell the reservationist what
time you need to be at your destination. (I always tell people to addd
in a few extra minutes to give extra time.) Say you had to be at work,
the demtor etc. by 10:00 am. You would tell paratransit you need to
arrive no later than 9:45. I always ha8e something to read--waiting
goes faster... I tell people that waiting is part of my life. I can,t
change that--so might as well deal with it...
