Hi folks: Speaking of transportation I began using paratransit about four months ago. In the beginning I would schedule a 5 pm pickup each afternoon. The paratransit drivers here in Atlanta have a 30-minute time frame in which to make that pickup. More often than not my bus would show either at the last part of that time frame or several minutes after. After a couple of months of that I began requesting a 4-45 pickup. And now they are either coming at 4-45 or even a little before. So how do you explain that? Not complaining. I lik it! But it does seem a little odd. Phil Jones

Cheryl,
I know what you mean.
I used our paratransit once, and the driver was from Pakistan and didn't
know the country. Thus, he showed up late. I didn't use it again for over
a year. When I was attending a church conference and really, I was told
that my name was taken off the list because of non-use. I had to start the
whole process all over again. I may have periods of non-use, but I make
sure that doesn't happen again. I needed a hearing aid cleaning and tube
change. I couldn't couldn't get an appointment dujring the late afternoon,
so I took the late one and took paratransit. It took longer, but I brought
something to read.
