Rita, thank you for posting this.  It is about time!

Looking at the size of my pill bottles, I am not sure how all  
important information can be made accessible.  Just printing the name  
of the medication in big bold print will help, or putting the name in  
braille.   The medication should also come with a fact sheet that  
would include the rest of the information from the bottle in a format  
the patient can read.

Another help would be to ensure that all pills do not look and feel  
alike.  The colors should be bold and distinct for each medication.   
The shape of pills can be made so they are tactile.  I think  
pharmacists are starting to do this.  One of my pills is now oval.   
Another medication that was pink, then white, is now yellow with a  
squarish shape.

I am deaf-blind with vey low vision.
