Jeff, I take issue with you for one reason. American Sign Language is a separate language. Its syntax is different from Anglish. Signed English would be a literal translation, as I understand it. On the other hand, braille is not a language. Except from some shorter ways of writing things, it follows any language in which it is written literally.
