The National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse (NDIC) has developed valuable tools and resources for consumers. The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) Reference Collection provides titles, abstracts, and availability information for health information and health education resources. The NIDDK Image Library is a searchable database of original full-color and black-and-white images available in low, medium, and high resolutions. The Interactive Health Education Tools from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is a collection of health quizzes, tutorials, Podcasts, streaming audio files, and surgical videos that can be used to learn about diseases, conditions, diagnostic procedures, and treatments. All of these resources are services of the NDIC and can be accessed online at www.diabetes.niddk.nih.gov/resources/index.htm.
