House Congressional Resolution 235
April 5, 2006

Congressional Record April 4, 2005
House of Representatives, Page 335

"Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, to mark up the following: H. Con. Res. 235, Expressing the sense of the Congress that States should require candidates for driver's licenses to demonstrate an ability to exercise greatly increased caution when driving in the proximity of a potentially visually impaired individual;"

Although we are very pleased that this resolution will most likely be reported out of committee favorably today (April 5, 2006), it is still a long way from a vote on the House floor. At the present time there are only 20 co-sponsors. Right now is the perfect time to contact your representatives and urge them to co-sponsor this important legislation.

You can call your representatives at the House switchboard, 202-225-3121.

The Senate version of the resolution is S. RES 71. This resolution has a long to way to go before being considered on the Senate floor because there are only 4 co-sponsors! In addition to calling your Representatives, contact your Senators and urge them to co-sponsor S. Res. 71. You can call your Senators at 202-224-3121.
