The House pedestrian safety congressional resolution (HCONRES 235) was reported out of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure! Now we are working toward getting the measure to the House of Representatives for a floor vote. Congrats to everyone who worked on getting this legislation moving!
HCONRES 235 will need more Congressional support for it to pass because there are currently only 20 co-sponsors. You can call your representatives at the House switchboard, 202-225-3121.
The Senate version of the resolution is S. RES 71. This resolution has a long way to go before being considered on the Senate floor because there are only 4 co-sponsors! In addition to calling your Representatives, contact your Senators and urge them to co-sponsor S. Res. 71. You can call your Senators at 202-224-3121.
