Washington Connection - Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Advisory Panel Beneficiary Summit

The Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Advisory Panel (the Panel) will be having a Beneficiary Summit in Atlanta, Georgia on February 6-7, 2007, for individuals who are current or recent beneficiaries of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicare, and/or Medicaid to share their ideas on ways that Social Security disability and other programs can better encourage people who want to go to work. There will be no cost to those who attend. We hope to assemble a diverse group of individuals who represent many racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, as well as individuals with many different types of disabilities.  This recruiting extends to beneficiary applicants from across the United States. 

An application to participate in the Summit can be located at: http://www.ssa.gov/work/panel/summit/index.html. If possible, please submit your application via e-mail to TWWIIAPanel@ssa.gov. Applications can also be faxed to 202-358-6440 or mailed to Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Advisory Panel, 400 Virginia Avenue, SW, Suite 700, Washington, DC, 20024. The application deadline has been extended to October 13, 2006. 

Anyone can apply but as a special note, at this point in time the summit is still without applications from the following states/territories:  Hawaii Maryland Rhode Island South Carolina West Virginia District of Columbia American Samoa Puerto Rico Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Palau US Virgin Islands
