The House has passed the fiscal 08 Legislative Branch Appropriations Act (H.R. 2771) that included only twelve and a half of the nineteen million dollars requested by NLS for its digital talking book program.
The vote on final passage was 216 yeas to 178 nays. It is critical that the Senate fund this program at the requested levels! Please let me know if your Senator is interested in offering an amendment to fully fund this program and we can work together to provide as much information as they need. Have a great weekend.
