Along with its committees and task forces, the American Council of the Blind is represented on, and advises, three organizations which positively affect the lives of all blind and visually impaired persons throughout the United States, North America and the world: the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS), the Braille Authority of North America (BANA), and the World Blind Union (WBU).
